Scope of Application

TXSPD Surge Protection Device (ALU3, surge protective device),-B, C, D series large current modular TXSPD Surge Protection Device is used for power supply systems of AC 50/60Hz, the TT, IT, TN-S, TN-C, TN-C-S of rated voltage 380V and below, ro protect the power grid caused by lightning or surge overvoltage. The design is based on the C61643-1,GB18802-2002, it can discharge the 100kA lightning current, case is installed on 35mm electric rail, the detachment device automatically will be out of its power grid, meanwhile the status indicator turns from green to red. TXSPD Surge Protection Device has protection modes of common mode (MC) and differential mode (MD).

TXSPD Surge Protection Device complies with the requirements of GB18802.1 and IEC61643-1 standard.

Models and Specifications

The function of surge protectors

TXSPD Surge Protection Device use a varistor of excellent nonlinear, in normal conditions, surge protective device is in high resistance state, the leakage current is almost zero, to ensure the normal power supply for power supply system. When the overvoltage of the power system appears, the surge protective device immediately conduct in nanoseconds, the amplitude of overvoltage limit in the safety work scope of the equipment. At the same time, the over-voltage energy is released. Then, the surge protective device quickly turned into a high impedance state, which does not affect the normal power supply for power system.

Structure and working principle

TXSPD Surge Protection Device in three-phase four-wire system, the surge protective devices are connected between the three phase lines and a zero line ground wire. Surge protective device is in high resistance state under normal circumstances, when surge voltage of the power grid caused by lightning or other causes appears , the surge protective device will immediately conduct in the nanosecond time to take surge into the earth, and to protect electrical equipment on the power grid. When the surge voltage passes through the protector, after disappears, the surge protective device changes to high resistance state, thereby not affecting the normal operation of the power network.

Outline and installation dimensions

Why use surge protector

The destructive force of lightning is great, lightning outside the switching power supply (lightning rod) is not enough, the lightning wave will directly or indirectly (through electromagnetic induction) invaded all electrical pathways and metal channels (such as power line and signal line, antenna and metal pipe etc.). Overvoltage and lightning surge voltage resulting will cause great harm to the network system, electrical equipment, electronic information, light damaged lines, heavy damage to the device, make the system paralysis, caused incalculable loss. The lightning current rapidly changing, in the electric
