  • Scope of Application

    WCT household AC contactor (also called modular AC contactor), mainly used in power system of AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated voltage to 400V, rated current to 100A, at AC-1, AC-7a use categories (no sense or low sense load, resistance furnace, household appliances and similar low load) for long distance, switch and control circuit for household, can also be used to control the motor load. Household AC contactor is not used for breaking short circuit current, so the suitable short-circuit protection equipment (such as miniature circuit breaker) should be selected when using. It meets the standard IEC61095, GB17885.
    WCT contactor can extend auxiliary control, protection and indication function.
    WCT household AC contactor is a control appliance for long distance making and breaking no sense or low sense load, resistance furnace, household appliances and similar low load, household motor and so on.
    WCT household AC contactor is mainly used in families, hotels, apartments, office buildings, public buildings, shopping centers, gymnasiums and other places, to achieve automatic control function.

    Model And Meaning

    Normal Working Condition

    Ambient air temperature: the upper limit of ambient air temperature is +60℃, the lower limit is -5℃. When the contactor is installed in the distribution box, the two sides must be fitted with spacers to dissipate heat.
    Altitude: The altitude of the installation site is not more than 2000m.
    Atmospheric conditions: Installation temperature is +60℃, the relative humidity of the air is not more than 50%, at low temperature, relative humidity can allow higher. For example, up to 90% at +20℃. Special measures should be taken for the occasionally produced condensation due to temperature changes.
    Pollution level: Class Ⅱ.
    Installation category: Ⅱ.
    Installation: TH35-7.5 rail installation. There is no significant shock and vibration at the installation site, vertical installation, the inclination of installation surface and any direction is not more than 5°.

    a) Eight-hour day: This work is the basic working system, conventional free air thermal current Ith of the contactor is determined by the work system.
    b) Intermittent periodic duty-type: The operating frequency of the household AC contactor under this work system is 30 times/h, the load factor is 40%.

    Action (Operation) Condition
    In the ambient air temperature of -5℃~+60℃, apply the rated control supply voltage Us to the contactor attracting the coil, when it is heated to a steady state, the contactor should be reliably closed at any voltage within the range of (85%~110%) Us; Drop out and break between the 75% and 20% rated control supply voltage Us.

    Note: When the contactor is installed in the distribution box, the spacers must be assembled on both sides to facilitate the heat dissipation.

    Working Principle

    When the coil is energized, the coil current generates a magnetic field, generates sufficient electromagnetic attraction to overcome the reaction force, and pulls in the armature so that the contact is turned on. When the coil voltage disappears or the coil voltage is low to a certain value, the so-called drop out voltage. As the magnetic flux generated by the end of the armature is reduced, the electromagnetic attraction begins to be less than the reaction force generated by the reaction spring, the contact spring, and so on. The armature is released under the action of the reaction force, leaving the yoke, and the contact is broken.

    Installation, Use And Maintenance

    Before installation, relevant technical data (such as rated voltage, current, operating frequency, etc.) should be checked.
    During the installation, should be installed according to the specified conditions, the wiring terminal A1 of contactor coil should be upwards, which is in accordance with people's visual habit.
    The contactor with metal mounting baseplate should be properly grounded.
    The terminal screws should be tightened, check the wiring is correct, the main contact should not be charged, the first to attract the coil power on-off several times, the test action is reliable before they can be put into use.
    When in use, if there is abnormal noise, there may be dirt on the pole face, please wipe the pole face.
    In use, the components of the product should be checked regularly, the movable parts should not be jammed, the fasteners should not be loosened, and the parts should be replaced if damaged.
